Dark Scream Film Festival, organized by FilmyBees Cine Club, aims to maintain clear and transparent policies for film submissions, event registrations, tickets, and other purchases.
Please review this policy carefully before making a payment.
3.1 Film Submission Fees
All film submission fees are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
A refund will not ordinarily be issued because:
- A film is not selected;
- A film is rejected;
- A film is not nominated;
- A film does not receive an award;
- A submitter withdraws the film after submission;
- A film is disqualified for failing to comply with published eligibility requirements or submission rules;
- The submitter changes their mind after completing the submission.
Payment of a submission fee does not guarantee selection, nomination, screening, review, award, or any particular Festival outcome.
3.2 Event Tickets, Passes and Registrations
Event tickets, passes, and registrations are generally non-refundable and non-transferable, except where otherwise expressly stated at the time of purchase or required by applicable law.
No refund will ordinarily be issued for:
- A change in an attendee’s personal plans;
- Failure to attend the event;
- Late arrival;
- Failure to carry a required physical pass;
- Loss or damage of a physical pass;
- Failure to provide valid identification where required;
- Refusal of entry resulting from violation of Festival or venue rules;
- Removal from the event due to serious misconduct or violation of applicable rules;
- Changes to the screening order;
- Replacement or withdrawal of an individual film;
- Change or cancellation of a particular speaker, guest, Q&A, session, or individual program;
- Reasonable changes to Festival timings or programming;
- Rescheduling of an individual program within the Festival.
3.3 Cancellation of the Entire Event
If the entire Dark Scream Film Festival event is cancelled by FilmyBees Cine Club and no replacement or rescheduled event is offered, eligible ticket/pass holders may receive a refund of the ticket or registration amount paid to the Festival, subject to the original payment method and applicable payment/ticketing-provider procedures.
Third-party convenience fees, payment-processing charges, platform charges, taxes, or similar amounts controlled by an external provider may be subject to that provider’s refund rules and applicable law.
3.4 Postponement or Rescheduling
If the entire Festival is postponed or rescheduled rather than cancelled, existing registrations or passes may be transferred to the rescheduled dates where reasonably possible.
Any additional refund rights will be determined according to applicable law and the circumstances communicated to affected ticket holders.
3.5 Digital Products and Digital Services
Digital products, downloadable materials, online registrations, or other digital offerings are generally non-refundable after access, delivery, download, or activation, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
3.6 Physical Merchandise
Where physical merchandise is sold directly by the Festival, selected products may be eligible for return or replacement within 7 days of delivery, subject to the specific product’s return conditions.
Unless the item is defective or applicable law requires otherwise:
- The product must be unused and returned in its original condition;
- A ₹150 return/replacement shipping charge may apply;
- Original shipping or handling charges may be non-refundable.
Product-specific conditions communicated at the time of purchase will also apply.
3.7 Duplicate Transactions
If you believe you have been charged more than once for the same transaction because of a technical or payment error, contact us with the relevant transaction details at: darkscreamfilmfestival@gmail.com
Verified duplicate payments will be handled according to the circumstances of the transaction and applicable law.
3.8 Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method or through the applicable ticketing/payment platform.
Processing times may vary depending on banks, payment gateways, card networks, or ticketing providers.
3.9 Policy Updates
Dark Scream Film Festival / FilmyBees Cine Club may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will not override any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
By submitting a film, registering for an event, or purchasing a ticket/pass, you acknowledge the refund conditions applicable to your transaction.
