By attending, participating in, or engaging with the festival, all individuals agree to follow this Code of Conduct.

1. Respect and Inclusion

We welcome participants of all backgrounds, identities, cultures, nationalities, abilities, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and beliefs.

All attendees are expected to:

• Treat others with dignity and respect.
• Foster an atmosphere of inclusion and open dialogue.
• Respect differing opinions and artistic viewpoints.

2. Harassment-Free Environment

Dark Scream Film Festival maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment of any kind.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

• Intimidation or threatening behavior.
• Verbal abuse or offensive comments.
• Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or appearance.
• Unwanted physical contact.
• Sexual harassment or inappropriate advances.
• Stalking or repeated unwanted interaction.

Any participant engaging in such behavior may be removed from the festival without refund or warning.

3. Professional Conduct

All attendees, filmmakers, guests, and industry professionals are expected to:

• Behave professionally during screenings, Q&A sessions, networking events, and festival activities.
• Respect festival staff, volunteers, venue personnel, and fellow participants.
• Follow instructions provided by festival representatives and venue management.

4. Respect During Screenings

To ensure a positive experience for all:

• Arrive on time for screenings.
• Silence mobile devices during screenings and presentations.
• Avoid disruptive behavior.
• Refrain from talking, recording, or causing disturbances during film screenings.

5. Photography and Recording

Photography and video recording may be conducted by festival staff, media partners, and accredited photographers.

Unauthorized recording of films, presentations, or festival content is strictly prohibited unless prior permission has been granted by the festival and rights holders.

Attendance at the festival constitutes consent to be photographed or filmed for promotional and archival purposes.

6. Venue Policies

All participants must comply with venue regulations and local laws.

The festival reserves the right to:

• Refuse entry to any individual whose behavior is deemed unsafe or disruptive.
• Remove individuals violating venue rules or festival policies.
• Deny future participation to repeat offenders.

7. Substance Use

Illegal substances are strictly prohibited at all festival venues.

Attendees under the influence of alcohol or other substances who pose a risk to themselves or others may be removed from the event.

8. Online Conduct

The Code of Conduct extends to:

• Festival social media platforms.
• Online screenings and virtual events.
• Public discussions related to the festival.

Harassment, hate speech, bullying, or abusive behavior online will not be tolerated.

9. Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please immediately contact a member of the Dark Scream Film Festival team or email the festival organizers.

All reports will be handled confidentially and reviewed promptly.

10. Enforcement

Festival organizers reserve the right to take any action deemed necessary, including:

• Verbal warning.
• Removal from a screening or event.
• Revocation of festival accreditation or passes.
• Permanent ban from future festival activities.
